Living Wall: Shuttlesworth Birmingham International Airport

Foliage Down South, previously known as Foliage Design Systems and a leader in living wall systems in Alabama, proudly completed the "Earth, Wind and Fire" project at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport. Designed to offer a unique and inspiring experience to travelers, this living wall was completed on July 21, 2014, in collaboration with local quilt artist Murray Johnston and living wall specialists Green Over Grey.

Spanning 100 feet in length and 15 feet in height, this living wall comprises over 60 species and 8,000 plants. This spectacular display of vertical gardening not only enhances the aesthetic of the airport but also contributes positively to the indoor environment.

The "Earth, Wind and Fire" living wall at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport showcases Foliage Down South's commitment to integrating natural beauty into public spaces, elevating travelers' experiences and connecting them with nature.
